sac & fox cultural center

The Sac & Fox Nation Cultural Center is a 6,000-square-foot building boasting an expansive circular lobby area showcasing the tribal seal integrated into the tile floor, a circular ceiling containing a radius light shelf, and display cases for historical artifacts in the surrounding walls. Also included in the facility is an environmentally controlled archive room, a safe room large enough for disaster refuge for employees from the entire complex, veteran’s office space, repatriation office, a language lab, a production and sound room, classrooms, and a conference room. The unique challenge for this project was designing to the limited site space between two existing buildings.
